Short Description
The Muslim forces mixed with those of the Tatars; and very soon body pieces were scattered and the sound of swords became higher than those of soldiers..jpg)
Clouds of dust rose in the battlefield, and the voices of Takbeer grew high from the farmers standing on both sides of the valley; and the Muslim forces mixed with those of the Tatars; and very soon body pieces were scattered and the sound of swords became higher than those of soldiers. Within a few moments, the battle flared up. All the people saw terror that they had never seen in their lives.
This was one of the best Muslim Mamluk brigades, and Qutuz, May Allaah Have mercy upon him, chose it very well, to be able to endure the first Tatar strike. The one who achieves victory in the beginning of the battle could, often, safeguard it till the end, not only because of the military, but also because of spiritual excellence.
Many of the emirs in the army forefront, including Rukn Ad-Deen Beebars, took part in Al-Mansoorah and Faariskoor battles against the previous Crusade led by Louis IX of France ten years earlier, i.e. in 648 A.H. This means that those emirs had outstanding military experience and the best knowledge of the different ways of maneuvers, methods of fighting and war plans.
